Backstory

I am a PhD economist, a 32 year vetran of Toastmasters, a Singer (two groups, one Barbershop chorus and one Jazz Chorus, the second is the one which sang the Hana Barbera Theme Songs - Yogi Bear, Flintstones, Jetsons, etc.) and a theatre type who has been backstage and on stage and loves both.  I have published articles on energy economics, evolution, tax policy, medival saints, and also a #1 Best Selling Book: "Survive and Thrive on the Witness Stand."

I am also the son of the inventor of the Bar Code.  (I played a trivial role in this entering 1's and 0's in the computer, but only because my Dad had a motorcycle accident and I drove him around that summer).

As an energy economist and expert witness, I have won over $1.4 billion in awards for my clients, convinced a utility to cancel a nuclear power plant, and brought Natural Gas to the citizens of rural Minnesota, where I also developed the statewide energy/ecology/economic model which they used.  And I was also involved in the deregulation of the telephone industry.

I began my gaming addiction when my medival re-enactment group (the SCA), started playing D&D (the original version, pre-AD&D) in 1975.  I have served as a GM in college and grad school, and also at a few GenCon's. My role-play gaming has included D&D, Traveler (space faring), Champions (Superheros), Stalking the Night Fantastic (Ghost/vampire hunting, etc.), Fringeworthy (the game that inspired the "Stargate" franchise), and 'Toon (in which one plays a Saturday Morning Cartoon character.)

I also drive a motorcycle, wear a kilt most of the time, and am the son of a semi-professional dog trainer (don't judge me, though, when you meet my 112 lbs. Malamute, Balto).
