Important: All contestants should begin the meeting with camera OFF until invited to debut their costume.
Pageant Rules
- Come as a character you love. Your costume may represent your Dungeons & Toast character, a character from another game or fandom, or an original creation.
- All skill levels are welcome. Costumes may be handmade, purchased, thrifted, assembled, altered, borrowed, or any combination thereof. You do not need to have made your costume yourself to compete.
- Creativity matters more than expense. A clever $20 costume has every right to stand beside an elaborate handmade one. When voting, members should consider the overall effect, creativity, characterization, and presentation—not how much money someone spent.
- Give us a little show! Each contestant will have a short opportunity to introduce their character, show off their costume, and answer a special Table Topic inspired by the questionnaire they submitted beforehand. Staying in character is encouraged, but absolutely not required.
- Have fun with it. You are not expected to be a professional costumer, actor, improviser, or model. The goal is to give everyone an excuse to dress magnificently and make a memory together.
