Malar is the savage god of the hunt, bloodlust, and predatory beasts in the Forgotten Realms, feared as a dark power of cruelty and slaughter. In Moonshae lore, he is especially tied to lycanthropes, the Black Blood tribe, and the unleashing of Kazgoroth against the isles.
Bhaal is the evil Faerûnian god of murder, feared as the Lord of Murder and associated with ritual killing, bloodshed, and ruthless ambition. In Moonshae lore, he is especially important as a dark power opposed to the Earthmother, working through corruption, monstrous servants, and the defilement of sacred places.
The Earthmother is the primal goddess of the Moonshae Isles, embodying the living spirit of the land, its wild beauty, and its natural balance. She is honored especially by druids and those who revere the old ways, standing in opposition to forces that corrupt or despoil nature.
