Backstory

Being a nerd in college, and the types I hung out with, it should be obvious that I had my introduction to D&D at about the ripe old age of 20.   I played a few games, but was frustrated with how slow the game played.   Of course we were all neophytes and the DM was also new.  While my game playing days wound down to zilch, my appreciation of the game and the players continued.  My wife started a small craft business making dragons to sell at Ren festivals and SCA events.  I was happy when both my daughters learned to play on with their friends, and now my grandchildren play as well.

I finally figured that it was time to give D&D another chance.   It's like I never left. The Fantasy, the imagination, the not quite suitable for midwest sensibilities were still there.  The game playing is still slower than I would like (especially with the grandchildren), but perhaps I have more patience.

Here is to learning how to be the best dragonborn druid I can be.   At least for now.   That is what interests me.   Dragons of course, and being one with nature.   Did I say I qualified to be a hippy in my early days?  We always talked about running away and forming a commune.   It was the 70's after all.
